Reflections On Aging

Aging Defiantly Alone

Aging is a challenge. Being alone is a challenge. Maintaining a defiant attitude is an art form. Are you aging defiantly alone? Me too!

Are you confronting aging AND living alone? I want to create a group for people over 70 with a defiant approach to aging, who are coping with aging and being alone while still interested in life and people, exploring, and creating.

(Incidentally, I don’t discriminate: both, guys and gals are welcome! After all, neither women nor men are immune to aging or loneliness.)

Let’s share our stories, concerns, and experiences. Let’s become friends, sounding boards, and cheerleaders for one another. Let’s age defiantly together with our rights, self-confidence, and optimism intact!

I don’t believe that advancing age is a handicap. We are aging, not dead! The main difference between us and the rest is that we have to pack more living into a shorter time. Are you with me? Then, tell me a little about yourself and let’s age defiantly, together!

Aging Defiantly Alone

(I’m thinking that if we live in the same neighborhood, we could meet, and if we don’t – or prefer Internet – we could chat Online. What do you think?)

Not Invisible Woman

To paraphrase Garth Brooks: I’m Much Too Young To Be This Damn Old. So, I’m creating ways to cope with aging and balancing the thin line between being socially acceptable and comfortable to preserve my dignity and self-confidence.
